NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Ron Hornaday completes 50,000 laps

Saturday night as lap 73 rolled around for the Camping World Truck Series, the #9 Anderson’s Syrup Chevrolet driven by Ron Hornaday passed a milestone of his own. With the talk of Todd Bodine and David Starr’s 200 & 300 race milestones, not many were talking about Hornadays. Hornaday has now completed 50,000 laps in his truck series career.

Hornaday recorded the milestone lap at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Il at the American Ethanol 225.

Ron Hornaday a four time Truck series champion has raced in 309 races, accumulated 212 top tens and 51 wins in his fifteen year career in the Camping World Truck Series.

Hornaday spent much of the event outside the top ten but ended up finishing in seventh place. After crossing the finish line he got turned and spun through the end of the pit road exit grass.
