Travis Pastrana finishes third at Delaware Speedway’s Summer Showdown

Michael Waltrip, Clint Bowyer and Travis Pastrana are the three NASCAR drivers that made their way to Ontario, Canada to race the annual APC Summer Showdown at Delaware Speedway.
Delaware Speedway is a one-half mile paved oval stock-car track that has been home to racing for over 55 years.

The drivers competed with local drivers that race at the track every week. The event included a meet and greet session with the drivers, along with autograph sessions throughout the day.

The FT Garage Late Models were set to start at 8pm with 10-Lap Heats, 25-Lap Consolation Qualifier and then a 60-Lap Main Event.

In the 60 lap feature, Clint Bowyer started 11th, Michael Waltrip started 13th and Travis Pastrana started 14th.
Michael Waltrip was involved in a strange crash on the front stretch that left his car too damaged to continue. Travis Pastrana had stunning control of his car throughout the night, but fell short and ended up finishing 3rd. The #44 of Jon Urlin took home the checkered flag.

In last years Summer Showdown, Kurt and Kyle Busch were among the NASCAR drivers that attended the event. Kyle Busch had started 7th while brother Kurt Busch started 11th in the B-main event. Kyle Busch ended up making contact early and breaking a shock mount, while brother Kurt stayed around till lap 44/60 when he was collected in a crash.
