Kevin Harvick says Amber Cope cost him NNS win

Kevin Harvick was leading the F.W. Webb 200 when he caught the slower cars of Amber Cope and Timmy Hill. Harvick attempted to go to the inside of Cope. What happened next is debated between the two drivers. The result was Brad Kesewloski getting by Harvick to claim the win.

Harvick nudged Cope as the two entered pit lane following the race and then let his frustrations be known. “It’s somebody who shouldn’t be on the racetrack. That has no clue what they are doing in a race car. She wants to be Danica Patrick but she can’t hold her helmet… I don’t even know who it is to tell you the truth.”

Of course it didn’t stop there for either side. The post race twitter disagreement was just starting.

When one upset fan told the Cope twins that they belonged at the mall they fired back. “sure let me pick you up some balls and a clue and maybe u can go as fast as us!!” The tweet has since been deleted.

Harvick was calmed down because as DeLanna Harvick notes “nothing can turn @KevinHarvick frown upside down after losing a race better than facetime where he watched keelan get his first bath! ”

“Everyone did a great job today unfortunate that it came down to a lap car costing us the race… ‪#thatsracing”

After some light back and forth, eventually Harvick took the higher line and headed to bed for some rest.

Harvick did let it be known that he was looking forward to Sunday’s Sprint Cup race. “Looking forward to tomorrow should be an intense race! Best part about it is I know the #24 will be able to drive straight tomorrow! ”

This was not the first time an even was changed due to a lapped car. Ryan Truex lost a race recently under similar circumstances. He sent the following message to Harvick.
