After missing six weeks following  a horrific crash at Talladega, Eric McClure returned to the seat of the #14 car for Turner Motorsports on Saturday. While both tracks are lengthy in terms of miles there may not be two more contrasting tracks on the Nationwide Series schedule.

During the race McClure lost a lap dealing with mechanical problems. That didn’t get the overall spirits of the Virginia born driver down. In post race interviews he was thankful just to be able to race again and praised his team for working hard. McClure’s next chance to race will be Friday night at Kentucky. In six races at Kentucky he has an average finish of 31.5 with a career best of 27th coming last year.

Jeff Green drove the #14 car while McClure was away from the track. Kevin LaPage drove Green’s #10 car during this time.
