Jennifer Jo Cobb to focus on trucks, run limited Nationwide

The Facebook page of Jennifer Jo Cobb Racing announced on Sunday that they would be running the full Camping World Truck Series schedule with limited events being run in the Nationwide series. Last season Cobb attempted to run the full Nationwide schedule but a dispute with Rick Russell led to her departure from 2nd Chance Motorsports.

Cobb, 38, ran in 18 Nationwide races last season and 12 truck races. She finished sixth in the truck series opening race at Daytona.

Right now it is unclear which races Cobb will attempt on the Nationwide side or what manufacture she plans to run for. Last season she ran Ford trucks and cars early in the seasons but also ran some races with Dodge.

Cobb has been running truck races since 2008 but 2010 was the only season in which she competed for a full season. She finished 17th that season in the final driver standings.

With Johanna Long driving for ML Motorsports in the Nationwide series she may be the only female regular in the truck series.
