Race Day Sponsor will back Kevin Lepage in 2012

Count Kevin Lepage in the list of NASCAR drivers who have sponsorship for 2012. The veteran driver does not yet have a seat to sit in for the upcoming season. Lepage’s hope is for a full time ride and he’s not particular about which of the top 3 series it is in.

Last season Lepage ran 22 events in the NASCAR Nationwide Series for Rensi Motorsports and Jimmy Means. The majority of those races came with Means and while running with a team that has never placed a top-10 in 188 Nationwide starts his results were mainly a bunch of back of the packs.

In his career Lepage has run just 7 truck series events. He has also not competed at the Sprint Cup level since a two race stint with Front Row Motorsports in 2007, though he did have 25 did not qualify attempts that season.

Since his familiarity is in the Nationwide Series it’s likely that is where Lepage stays in 2012. His past relationships with Means also increases the chance the two work together again this coming season.

The 49 year old driver has made 307 career starts in the Nationwide Series since his debut in 1986.
