Addington named crew cheif for Stewart

Tony Stewart won five of the last ten races en-route to the 2011 NASSCAR Sprint Cup Championship with crew chief Darian Grubb. Unfortunately for Grubb he was ousted as the crew chief for Stewart following the race at Charlotte.

Addington left his position at Penske Racing where he served as the crew chief for Kurt Busch. Busch won two races during the 2011 season. Addington and Busch had a noticeable rift when reports first popped up that the crew chief was planning on leaving the team at the end of the season.

Today official word came that Addington had been named as the crew chief for the #14 of Stewart.

Addington has been on top of the pit box for 16 career wins. Prior to working with Penske Racing he was the crew chief of the #18 car of Joe Gibbs Racing which was driven by Kyle Busch.
