Martinsville paints curbs pink

The curbs of Martinsville can be added to the list of sport items gone pink as America celebrates Breast Cancer Awareness Month. About a week ago the track crew was joined by four ladies who helped paint the curbs pink.

According to the tracks website

“The infamous Martinsville Speedway curbs have a new look.

The unique four-inch high curbs guarding the inside of the turns at Martinsville Speedway have drawn the anger of almost every driver who has competed at this historic track.

But for the TUMS Fast Relief 500 weekend, the curbs will show a softer side. They have been painted pink in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.”  (Martinsville Speedway)

While the curbs may be an annoyance to the drivers, I doubt anyone at home will see it negatively effect their race watching experience.

Thankfully no one has modified the infamous Martinsville hot dog.
