Update: Sam Hornish will run some Nationwide Races

Updating a previous story. Sam Hornish will run some Nationwide Races this year in the #12. Teammate Brad Keselowski resonded to questions on Twitter about the status of Hornish simply by saying he was his teammate last season and would be again this year.

Team owner Roger Penske was a little less tech savy only replying via email that Hornish would appear in 10 races.

There has been no official word from Hornish as of yet and it’s unclear if he is still seeking a part time gig at the Cup level or opportunity for additional races at the Nationwide level.

Hornish’s first Nationwide event will be the season opener at Daytona.

Additionally the car owner points for the #77 have been given/sold to field a car for Steve Wallace in the Daytona 500. It’s unclear how many races Wallace will run at the cup level this year or if his father Rusty has any intentions of putting someone else behind the wheel for additional races.
