Braves still intersted in Damon, LaRoche signs, Cabrera’s contract

It’s been back and forth on theNew York Yankees Johnny Damon reacts with fans after the game against the Philadelphia Phillies in game 6 of the World Series at Yankee Stadium in New York reports of whether the Braves are looking at Johnny Damon. David O’Brien is still playing up the Damon to Atlanta rumors.

Adam LaRoche signed a one year deal with Arizona earlier today. Considering it’s worth $4-5 million we could say it was a major goof to reject a two year $17.5 million contact with San Fransisco.

ESPN.com has also reported that the Braves have agreed with Melky Cabrera on a one year contract worth $3.1 million avoiding arbitration. It’s quite a raise for the projected left fielder who hit .274/.336/.416 with 13 homers, 28 doubles and 68 RBI while milking the Yankees for $1.4 million.
