Glaus officially annouced as a Brave

It may have been known for nearly two weeks but the Braves finally opened up that little present under the tree known as Troy Glaus.

Glaus, as you would expect, will wear #25 when takes to the field with the team. After passing a physical earlier in the day the Braves made the announcement official: Glaus will act as the teams new first basemen.

More could be said but it’s nothing you haven’t heard already. Here’s a few incase:
Glaus once led the AL in homers
Is the man who replaced Cal Ripken in the 2001 All Star Game
Won the 2002 WS MVP
Is injury prone but very effective when healthy
His wife is an accomplished equestrian
In 2007 news came out that Glaus received nandrolone and testosterone from 2003-2004, he claims it was to heal faster
Some of his community involvement has centered around abused and hearing impaired children
In 2008 he hit .270 with 27 homers and 99 RBI
