Browns turning back to Brady Quinn

Cleveland Browns v Baltimore RavensPerhaps the Tennessee Titans winning two in a row with Vince Young may have triggered something in Cleveland. The Browns and coach Eric Mangini are expected to start Brady Quinn this week as they face the Baltimore Raves.

Quinn was benched 2 1/2 games into the season and most figured the Browns would not turn back to him at any point this year. Quinn, 25, was a first round pick in 2007 (the Browns second pick) and was tabbed to be the Browns starting quarterback to start the season over Derek Anderson.

For the season Quinn has a 62.1 QB rating and 409 yards passing. He’s thrown 1 touch down and 3 interceptions. In fairness to Quinn the opposition in the first three games of the season were Minnesota, Denver and Baltimore.

In Anderson’s six appearances behind center he’s compiled a 36.2 QB rating, 681 yards passing and TD/Int ratio of 2:9.

The Browns are currently 1-7 and are coming out of a bye week. The Browns will have to make a decision on the future of Quinn at the end of the season, Quinn made headlines a few weeks ago when he listed his Cleveland area house for sale.
