The Braves have re-signed relief pitcher Chris Martin to a two-year deal.
Martin, 33, returns to a Braves bullpen which recently added Will Smith.
The new deal for Martin is for two years and $14 million. Splitting time between the Rangers and Braves, Martin pitched in 55 2/3 innings with a 3.40 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and a 65/5 K/BB ratio.
With Mark Melancon already announced as the closer of the Braves, Martin will join Smith setting him up in 2020.
Shane Green and Darren O’Day will also be back with the Braves in 2020.
