The San Diego Padres have signed infielder Brooks Conrad to a minor league deal.
Ken Rosenthal notes that Conrad will not receive an invite to spring training which confirms that this move is merely for organization depth.

The 33-year-old Conrad spent last season in Japan but hit just .175/.319/.281 in 24 games.
Conrad has spent parts of five seasons in the major leagues. He owns a career line of .207/.278/.400 with 18 home runs and 71 RBI.
