TaxSlayer will continue to sponsor JR Motorsports with new long term deal

JR Motorsports will continue to be sponsored by TaxSlayer.com, an online tax preparation service. Taxslayer began sponsoring the teams NASCAR Nationwide Series teams in 2011 and according to JRM general manager Kelley Earnhardt Miller that partnership will continue.

TaxSlayer.com will sponsor JR Motorsports cars in 17 Nationwide Series a year starting with the 2013 season-opening race at Daytona. Dale Earnhardt Jr will drive the TaxSlayer sponsored car during that race despite his recent comments about not liking the restrictor plate tracks of Daytona and Talladega.

JR Motorsports has not announced it’s drivers for the 2013 season. According to Earnhardt-Miller an announcement in regards to the teams drivers in 2013 will be coming soon. The team currently fields two cars the No. 88 Chevrolet of Cole Whitt and  the No. 7 driven by Danica Patrick. Patrick will move up to the Sprint Cup Series next season as she will drive the No. 10 Chevrolet for Stewart Hass Racing.

“Extending our NASCAR sponsorship with JR Motorsports was a key factor in our marketing strategy,” Jimmy Rhodes, founder and owner of TaxSlayer said in a news release. “Through our association with Dale Jr., we’ve been able to grow our business and introduce new customers to our service. Extending this relationship with JR Motorsports and committing to its future just makes sense for us.”

JR Motorsports receives funding and technical assistance from Hendrick Motorsports.
