Nearing the end of the NASCAR race at Talladega the ESPN signal for much of North America dropped. The feed had experienced trouble throughout the race with video freezing and black screens.
Talladega is known for massive wrecks but this time the biggest trouble seemed to be the feed of the race.
ESPN says the failure could be attributed to a solar flare. ESPN2’s coverage was not affected.
The feed returned with just over 50 laps to go.
