Yu Darvish has elected not to opt out of his current contract. The decision ensures the 33-year-old will be part of the Cubs rotation in 2020.
Darvish has four years and $81 million remaining on his contract.
Last season Darvish finished the year with a 3.98 ERA, 1.097 WHIP, and 229/56 K/BB ratio in 178 2/3 innings.
