The Reds and pitcher Johnny Cueto have not made any progress on a contract extension.
During the winter meetings the Reds approached Cueto’s agent about an extension but those talks have gone no where. Cueto is also apparently unwilling to negotiate a contract during the season according to his agent Bryce Dixon.
The 28-year-old Cueto will become a free agent after this season. Cueto finished 2014 with a 20-9 record to go with a 2.25 ERA and a 0.96 WHIP.
No recent progress on an extension for Johnny Cueto with #Reds, source says.

Catcher Dioner Navarro has been available via trade.
The Blue Jays signed Russell Martin this season making Navarro one player who could be playing elsewhere next season.
Navarro, 30, had a fine 2014 season hitting .274/.317/.395 with 12 home runs. He is set to earn $5 million in 2015 before becoming a free agent.
