Scott Dixon has had a tough weekend at Road America. On Friday the driver of the No. 9 Chip Ganassi Racing had a close call with Devin DeFrancesco that the six-time NTT IndyCar Series champion took blame.
On Saturday Dixon would spin in Canada corner. Moments later he turned into a fast approaching Will Power. The result was both driver cars being heavily damaged with Power crashing into a concrete wall.

Speaking to reporters after being checked at the infield care center Dixon said he spun on old tires and apologized to Power for the incident. Dixon said there was no need for a further discussion as the two did get into the medical car together and that Power had calmed down.
Dixon’s crash the the rest of the session for Ganassi as points leader Alex Palou crashed into a tire barrier earlier. Unfortunately for Ganassi their struggles continued with Marcus Ericsson quickly finding himself off the track before Santino Ferrucci brought out the third red flag of the session.
