NASCAR heads to both Charlotte Motor Speedway and Iowa Speedway this weekend.

The Truck Series will run the North Carolina Education Lottery 200 on Friday evening in Charlotte. The Sprint Cup Series will run the All Star race on Saturday evening in Charlotte and the Nationwide Series will run the Get to Know Newton 250 on Sunday afternoon in Iowa.

Eligibility rules for Sprint All-Star Race:

1st criteria: Drivers who have won races in the current and preceding year. If a driver leaves a team with which he has won a race, he remains eligible (through the last race before The All-Star Race), the team does NOT
2nd criteria: Drivers who are past Sprint Cup champions in the last 10 years
3rd criteria: Drivers who have won The All-Star Race in the past 10 years
4th criteria: The winning driver of the Sprint Showdown
5th criteria: Driver who finishes 2nd in the Sprint Showdown
6th criteria: Driver voted in by the fans

Charlotte Motor Speedway
Thursday: Temperatures in the low 70’s with heavy t-storms the whole day. Unlikely we will see much activity at the track.
Friday: High 74, Low 45 for the Truck race with no chance of rain in the forecast.
Saturday: High 74, Low 51 for the All Star race with only a 10% chance of rain in the forecast.

Iowa Speedway:
Friday: High 58, Low 38, partly cloudy with 20% chance of showers.
Saturday: High 63, Low 42 partly cloudy with 10% chance of showers.
Sunday: High close to 70’s for race day, no rain in the forecast!
