Atlanta Braves pitcher Jonny Venters will throw off a mound for the first time on Wednesday.
The Braves are counting on the return of Venters in May or June. Venters underwent his second Tommy John surgery last May.

Venters did not in 2013. Prior to then he had made 79, 85, and 66 appearances over the last three seasons. He owns a 2.23 ERA and a 1.24 WHIP over 229 2/3 innings of work.
