The San Diego Chargers blew a 24-0 halftime lead against the Denver Broncos on Monday night. In the second half the Chargers could not stop from making crucial turnovers. That is not the the worst part for the Chargers.
The NFL is investigating whether the Chargers used an illegal Stickum-like substance during the game. According to Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer the chargers are facing “very stiff sanctions” which could be either fines or loss of draft picks.
Glazer reported that a San Diego equipment manager ran onto the field during a timeout in last week’s game and handed out hand towels that held the clear-colored illegal substance. A line judge saw the material and took possession of it. Glazer said that after the equipment manager emptied his pockets the substance was discovered.

The San Diego Chargers issued the following statement regarding reports that the National Football League is looking into the possibility that the Chargers were using an illegal “sticky” substance during its game against the Denver Broncos last Monday night:
“We are aware of the inquiry and we are cooperating fully with the League.”
San Diego is 3-3 on the season and play the Cleveland Browns next Sunday.
