Buster Posey named Comeback Player of the Year

Major League Baseball has announced that Buster Posey of the San Fransisco Giants is the National Leagues Comeback Player of the Year. The Giants catcher returned from a broken ankle in 2011.

Posey hit .336/.408/.549 with 24 homers and 103 RBI this season for the Giants while proving to be a valuable face behind home plate.

This may not be the only award for Posey. He is viewed by some to be the National Leagues MVP.

The Giants are down three games to one in the National League Championship Series.
