Jonathan Ogden, former Baltimore Raven, nominated for NFL hall

Former Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman Jonathan Ogden is one of 13 retired modern-era players nominated the first time for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2013.

Ogden was the team’s first ever draft pick in 1996 after their move from Cleveland to Baltimore. In his 12 year career, all with Baltimore, he made 11 appearances in the Pro Bowl. Ogden was also part of the 2000 Ravens team that won Super Bowl XXXV.
Ogden was inducted into the Ravens’ Ring of Honor in 2008.

Three other former Ravens players were also nominated for the Hall of Fame in 2013. They were quarterback Steve McNair, (2006-2007), running back Priest Holmes (1997-2000) and defensive tackle Sam Adams (2000-2001).

The complete list of Hall of Fame candidates includes 127 candidates, which once again includes former Ravens owner Art Modell, who died on Sept. 6 at the age of 87.
