The United States has won silver and bronze in Women’s bobsled. United States 1 piloted by Elana Meyers with brakewoman Lauryn Williams sat atop the leaderboard after the first two runs by 0.23 seconds. After four runs they were second to Canada 1.
Williams was trying to become only the second person to ever win a gold medal in both the Summer and Winter Olympics. Eddie Eagan of the United States became he first. Eagan won Light Heavyweight Boxing gold in 1920 and Four-man Bobsled gold in 1932.
United States 2 made up of Jamie Greubel and Aja Evans finished with the bronze
Jazmine Fenlator and Lolo Jones competing as United States 3 finished 11th. This finish will only cause those who questioned Lolo Jones being on the team to speak louder. Of course Jones had strong starts on day one of the competition while Fenlator had trouble controlling the sled.
Canada 1 with Kaillie Humphries and Heather Moyse finished with the gold medal.
