The first ever gold medal in Ski Halfpipe went to David Wise of the United States.
David Wise, 23, finished first ahead od Mike Riddle of Canada and France’s Kevin Rolland. The Reno, Nevada born Wise scored a 92.00 on his first run to set the high score entering the second round. No one could top it, including Wise who wiped out on his second attempt.
Aaron Blunck of Denver, Colorado finished seventh.
