Meet Jamie Anderson, US Olympic Snowboarder Medal Hopeful (Photos)


Jamie Anderson is a 23-year old snowboarder from South Lake Tahoe, CA and is competeing in this years Winter Olympics being held in Sochi, Russia.

Anderson  scored a 93.50 on her first run during Slopestyle qualifications on Thursday, which was second only to Austria’s Anna Gasser, who scored a 95.50.

Joining Anderson and Karly Shorr in the final are Austria’s Anna Gasser, Elena Koenz and Isabel Derungs of Switzerland, Australia’s Torah Bright, Canada’s Spencer O’Brien and Finland’s Enni Rukajarvi, who all automatically qualified after their top placements Thursday.

Anderson has surprised us time and again with her big jumps and wicked style and we expect it to be no different as we watch her go for gold on Sunday February 9, at 4:15 AM ET.
