Norway captured two of the medals in the Cross-Counry Women’s Skiathlon on Saturday. Marit Bjoergen , 33, captured the gold 1.8 secnds ahead of Charlote Kalla of Sweden. Heidi Weng of Norway claimed the bronze.
Bjorgen won five medals at the Vancouver Games, including three gold medals. The Norwegian now has won a total eight Olympic medals. Three more would make her the most decorated female winter athlete.
Jessica Diggins was the highest finishing athlete from the USA, she finished eighth behind 1:31.9 behind Bjoergen.
