The Chicago Blackhawks won their eight straight game on Thursday night with a win over the Boston Bruins but lost center Jonathan Toews in the process.

Toews left the game in the second period after taking a hit from Bruins’ defenseman Dennis Seidenberg. He went face first into the boards and was shaken up. The Blackhawks ruled him out for the remainder of the game.

Ben Smith was the star of the game for the Blackhawks scoring a goal and adding an assist in the first period.
