The Jacksonville Jaguars are “really optimistic” about running back Denard Robinson according to general manager David Caldwell.

Robinson, 23, appeared in all 16 games for the Jaguars in 2013 but picked up just 20 carries for 66 yards and failed to find the endzone in his rookie season.

The Jaguars are in a curious spot at running back next season. Both Maurice Jones-Drew is not expected back and Jordan Todman could be gone as well.

There’s a chance that Robinson could be the lead back for the Jaguars, but there’s also a good chance that the Jaguars target a running back in the draft. There have been murmurs that the team prefers next year’s class of quarterbacks.
