Colin Kaepernick underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee on Wednesday. This marks the third surgery for Kaepernick over the last two months.

Kaepernick lost the starting quarterback job with the 49ers last season and then underwent surgery on his left shoulder. He also had torn ligaments in his right thumb repaired.

Entering 2016 the 28-year-old has as good a chance as anyone of winning the starters job for the 49ers. Of course the third different coach in three years will ultimately decide that.

Cowboys defensive tackle Tyrone Crawford underwent surgery on Thursday t repair a torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder.

The injury, suffered in Week 2, did not force Crawford to miss any playing time but his level of play did drop off. He recorded five sacks and 37 combined hits and hurries. Signed though 2020, Crawford will look to bounce back when healthy.
