The Bears will move Marquess Wilson into the role normally occupied by injured wide receiver Brandon Marshall.
Marshall is done for the season with cracked ribs and a collapsed lung.
This is a big opportunity for the second-year Wilson who was drafted by the Bears in the seventh round of the 2013 NFL Draft. Wilson has always had the size and ability to be a big go to receiver after putting up 82 catches for 1,388 yards and 12 touchdowns during his sophomore season at Washington State.
Wilson was slowed by a broken collarbone earlier this year but now gets a chance at an expanded role.
In four games this year he has five catches for 40 yards.
