Mike Lombardi out as Browns GM, Ray Farmer takes over

The reign of Mike Lombardi in Cleveland is over. On Tuesday the Browns promoted Ray Farmer to their general manager role and ousting Lombardi.

Lombardi came to the Browns along with CEO Joe Banner and head coach Rob Chudzinski in 2013. A year later all three are gone.

Farmer was considered for the Miami Dolphins GM spot but pulled out, possibly because he knew about plans in Cleveland. Whether or not he is a fan of new head coach Mike Pettine is unclear.
