The Pittsburgh Steelers will listen to trade offers for quarterback Ben Roethlisberger again this spring according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Rapoport made his comments while appearing on GameDay Morning and suggested that the 31-year-old was unhappy with his situation in Pittsburgh and that the Steelers would listen to trade offers in the spring.

It has been speculated for a while that Roethlisberger and offensive coordinator Todd Haley are not on good terms. The Steelers were unable to get a deal they liked last offseason.

Simply put the Steelers would have to be blown away to trade Roethlisberger. There will naturally be linking between Roethlisberger and the Arizona Cardinals who have former Steelers offensive coordinator Bruce Arians as the top man. Another scenario is the Steelers getting rid of Haley.

Of course there may not be a trade or a request at all as Roethisberger’s agent has already refuted Rapoport’s comments via twitter.

Ian Rapoport’s apparent sources seem to be guessing what Ben feels about the Steelers and being traded. This is completely wrong and inaccurate. Ben has always said he wants to play his entire career for the Steelers, and his roots are set firmly in Pittsburgh

he has a lot left in the tank & is 100% committed to winning more championships with the Steelers.” –Agent Ryan Tollner, Rep1 Sports

The Steeers are a 3 point favorite in Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills.
