The Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers will meet in the Divisional Round of the NFC Playoffs on Saturday. Coverage of the game will be carried by FOX at 8 pm EST. Troy Aikman and Joe Buck will call the game from Candlestick Park.

Last week Green Bay looked the part of dominating foe as they banished the Minnesota Vikings from the playoffs. On Saturday night things figure to be more difficult against the rested San Francisco 49ers.

What is the point spread in the Packers and 49ers game? The 49ers are 3 point favorites against the Packers. The over/under is 45 total points.

Green Bay’s defense had their way with Minnesota, thanks in part to the Vikings being forced to start an inexperienced back-up. The Packers held Adrian Peterson under 100 yards on the ground but considering the early hole the Vikings were not afforded the luxury of riding Peterson.

Following the game Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers expressed some disappointment with the offense. 49ers frontman Justin Smith is still dealing with a triceps injury which will weaken the impact of Aldon Smith, as well. Rodgers and the Packers will look to take advantage of this even as Jordy Nelson deals with a knee injury.

The 49ers do not have an experienced signal caller under center. They do have an exciting play maker in Colin Kaepernick who has shown the ability to make plays. They also feature Frank Gore.

The 49ers must find a way to keep this game close early so they can take advantage of Gore. If the Packers jump out to an early lead and force Kaepernick to pass then this one has the potential to get ugly quick.
