Urlacher and Briggs respond to comments by Finely about Bears defense

A day after Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley said that Chicago better without Brian Urlacher members of Bears defense responded.

“Just like a couple of years ago, I think, he (Finley) tore his ACL and the Packers were actually better without him. You know, they won the Super Bowl,” Urlacher told SiriusXM NFL Radio. “I hope we can duplicate that as well because it won’t hurt my feelings if we go on and win the Super Bowl without me like they did without him.

Earlier in the day Lance Briggs had already stuck up for the injured Bears linebacker.

“He’s an idiot,” Briggs said Thursday, via the Chicago Sun-Times. “Just suit up and play ball.

“His comments aren’t going to change the outcome of the game, they’re not going to help him or anybody else play better. Doesn’t really matter.”

Sunday’s game is one of two teams going in opposite directions. The Bears have lost their last two games, falling behind the Packers in the NFC North. Green Bay has won their last two games.
