The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series is headed to Pocono for the second time this season, to race the GoBowling 400. The Truck Series will also race at the track for the Pocono Mountains 125. The Nationwide Series in in Newton, Iowa for the US Cellular 250. The ARCA ModSpace 125 also takes place at Pocono on Saturday.

WEATHER:

Iowa: A pretty good chance of rain in Newton on Friday for Nationwide practice. Rain is possible starting about mid afternoon and running through all evening. Saturday looks to be a beautiful day, in the mid 70’s during race time. Chance of rain on Saturday is low, only 10%.

Pocono: Friday in Long Pond, PA temperatures will be in the mid 70’s with no chance of rain through practice until mid way through qualifying. Chances of rain increase to 20% by 4:00 pm, but likely only a short shower if any rain at all at that time. Saturday: Saturday brings cool temperatures in the low 70’s but a higher chance of rain, 40% all afternoon until early evening.  Sunday: If you wanted good news for race day, well, you have it. Temperatures in the low 70’s with little to no chance of rain on race day.
