Austin Dillon claimed the pole and Martin Truex Jr. won a spot on the front row for the Daytona 500 via their qualifying times, but the rest of the field had their starting spot for the 56th annual Great American Race determined by their finish in Thursday’s Budweiser Duels.
A total of 43 cars will start the Daytona 500 on Sunday headed by Dillon. Matt Kenseth will start third by winning Budweiser Duel 1, while Denny Hamlin figures to move to the front row with Martin Truex involved in a last lap wreck in Duel 2.
Sunday’s race will air on FOX beginning at 1:00 pm ET. It will consist of 200 laps for a total of 500 miles.
