Joey Logano paint schemes for 2018 season revealed (Photos)

Joey Logano returns to the seat of the No. 22 Ford Fusion at Penske Racing this season hoping for better results than he had during the 2017 season. Logano’s No. 22 car will be decked out in the familiar red and yellow of Pennzoil for much of the season.

Logano and teammate Brad Keselowski will see their team expand to a three car operation with the addition of driver Ryan Blaney, who comes over after driving the No. 21 Ford for the Wood Brothers.

Logano finished 17th in the overall driver standings, his worst finish since the 2012 season which was his last year at Joe Gibbs Racing. The 2017 season marked the first time Logano failed to make the Chase since joining Penske after his lone win at Richmond was encumbered due to illegal modifications.

AAA will continue it’s longstanding sponsorship of the No. 22 with their scheme appearing on the car at Auto Club Speedway in March, Kansas Speedway in May and Texas Motor Speedway’s playoff event in November. They will also appear on the side of the car as an associate sponsor for the entire season.

In addition to Shell/Pennzoil and AAA, Autotrader will also return to the No. 22 car with their orange and blue scheme.

Of all the drivers on the Cup circuit, Logano seems to be the driver who has the biggest improvement on his stats from a season ago. Logano had won multiple races in the three seasons prior to 2017. 2018 doesn’t seem to be a question of will Logano reach victory lane, but rather how many times.
