Richard Petty Motorsports will formerly announce Brian Scott as the driver of the No. 9 Ford Fusion for the 2016 season on Friday at a press conference.
Scott, 27, has been competing in the Xfinity Series for the past six seasons including the last three with Richard Childress Racing. In 208 starts, Scott has 20 top-five and 77 top-10 finishes and won five poles.
Reports have circulated from Adam Stern of the Sports Business Journal, that “sponsor will be Albertsons, which struck [business to business] deal with Smithfield as part of pact.”
