The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series will run the third race of the Contender Round this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway.
On the pole for the CampingWorld.com 500 is Jeff Gordon. He is joined by Kasey Kahne on the front row. Matt Kenseth, starting fourth, is the lone Hendrick Motorsportse car inside the top five.
The Sprint Cup Series will run 188 laps around the Talladega track which measures 2.66-miles at for a total of 500.08 miles. Coverage of this event will air on NBCSN beginning at 2:30 pm ET with the green flag waiving at 2:49 pm ET.
Brad Keselowski won this event last year while it was Dale Earnhardt Jr. who went to victory lane here earlier this year.
