Rain began to fall at the conclusion of Nationwide Series qualifying forcing crews to scramble and cover cars. Moments later qualifying for the Cup race was cancelled.

Currently NASCAR has the Air Titan trying to dry the track. A competition caution has been scheduled for lap 40.
