Chase Elliott won the NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Darlington Raceway on Friday night. The driver of the No. 9 Napa Chevrolet Camera led 52 of 174 laps claiming the win in the VFW Sports Clips Help a Hero 200.
Elliott beat out Elliott Sadler and Matt Kenseth for the win at the 1.366 mile Darlington Raceway located in Darlington, SC. The win is his second straight and the second of his career.
Kyle Busch began the race on the pole but by halfway Texas winner Chase Elliott had established himself at the front of the field. Busch was leading but with seven to go Kyle Larson spun out Tanner Berryhill bringing just about everyone down pit road for tires. First off pit road was Elliott Sadler and Kyle Larson. Busch would restart third while Elliott was sixth out. In the end Elliott was able to take advantage of Sadler getting loose in the back stretch and passed him going into turn three to claim his second straight win.
He will maintain his series point lead.
