Dale Earnhardt Jr took over the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series point lead after the conclusion of the Auto Club 400 in Fontana, CA. Earnhardt finished second in Sunday’s race behind Kyle Busch.
The race was highlighted by two end of the race incidents. Joey Logano wrecked Denny Hamlin allowing Busch to drive around both. Hamlin was sent to an area hospital for further evaluation.
After the race Tony Stewart complained about Logano blocking him on the final restart of the race. A fight erupted in the pits and Stewart had harsh words for Logano in post race interviews.
