Forbe’s released their list of the ten most disliked athletes in sports and NASCAR driver Kurt Busch appears on the list in eighth.

Topping the list were cyclist Lance Armstrong and former Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te’o. Armstrong recently announced that he doped while competing in the Tour de France while Te’o was the victim of a hoax involving a fake girlfriend.

1) Lance Armstrong 15% appeal
1) Manti Te’o 15% appeal
3) Tiger Woods 19% appeal
4) Jay Cutler 21% appeal
4) Metta World Peace 21% appeal
6) Alex Rodriguez 22% appeal
7) Michael Vick 23% appeal
8) Kurt Busch 27% appeal
8) Kobe Bryant 27% appeal
8) Tony Romo 27% appeal

The inclusion of Kurt Busch on the list is two-fold. It suggests that NASCAR has enough of a reach to place an athlete on this list but within a sport where teams, read drivers,  are depended on sponsors it speaks volumes about the current marketability of Busch.

Busch made multiple headline in 2012. He verbally assaulted a reporter, did a burnout in competitors pit stall, and ignored safety warnings because he took his helmet off after a crash.

For the 2013 season Busch will drive the No. 78 Chevrolet of Furniture Row Racing.
