Danica Patrick and two time NASCAR Nationwide Series Champion Ricky Stenhouse Jr. are dating, according to the Associated Press.
Danica confirmed the news to the Associated Press ending speculation that has been swirling around the NASCAR world.
“I have a boyfriend, his name is Richard,” she said during an exclusive telephone interview with AP.
“I think I am just finally excited to tell someone about this,” Patrick said.

Stenhouse Jr. also confirmed the relationship to the AP saying, “Yes we are dating, I don’t normally say too much about my private life, always been focused on the track. I didn’t want to confirm at media day so that we could keep the focus on the season, the Gen-6 (car), my sponsors and team. That’s what it’s all about for me.”
Danica filed for divorce from her former husband Paul Hospenthal on January 3rd after the split was announced on Facebook towards the end of November. Danica said her marriage was “irretrievably broken.”
During Thursday’s media day Stenhouse was drilled with questions regarding his relationship with Patrick where he just replied, “We have a great relationship.”
Patrick and Stenhouse Jr. are both running for points in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series in 2013. They will be competing for Rookie of the Year against each other. Stenhouse in the No.17 Ford Fusion for Roush Fenway Racing and Danica in the No.10 Chevrolet SS for Stewart Haas Racing.
