Kurt Busch being replaced at Penske Racing?

The Charlotte Observer is reporting that former Sprint Cup Champion Kurt Busch is being removed from the #22 Penske Dodge. Busch fulled the 2011 season with a slew of questionable actions highlighted by those during the final event of the NASCAR Sprint Cup season at Homestead.

At Homestead Busch’s transmission expired early in the race. His entrance to the garage was blocked by a secret service SUV and the driver showed his displeasure by giving the middle finger. He later let off a slew of expletives at ESPN reporter Dr. Jerry Punch while waiting to be interviewed.

Sponsor Shell was unhappy about the exchange and had publicly apologized. Current replacements could be David Ragan, Brian Vickers and David Reutimann.

Crew chief Steve Addington left Penske Racing to become the crew chief of Tony Stewart in 2012.
