C.C. Sabathia’s rehab assignment is officially on hold after an MRI showed swelling in his right knee. Up next for the veteran left hander is a trip to see Dr. James Andrews.
The Yankees have not ruled out structural damage and manager Joe Girardi did not seem encouraged speaking to reporters.
“We’re waiting to see what the next step is,” said manager Joe Girardi to reporters (ESPN NY). “Can’t tell you how long he’s going to be shut down. He said nothing during the game about it, he woke up today, and that’s the report I got. Today it was swollen, similar to what he’s experienced before.”
Mri on Sabathia's knee showed swelling, he will go see dr. Andrews to determine next steps "you dont want a setback like this."girardi said.
