The knee of left handed pitcher CC Sabathia may end his season.
Speaking to reporters on Friday, New York Yankees manager Joe Girardi said its “fair to say” that Sabathia will not return this season.
Sabathia had a setback this week during rehab and will visit Dr. James Andrews on July 14. At that time the Yankees and Sabathia will decide on a plan of action.
Joe Girardi was asked if he's assuming cc sabathia won't be back pitching in majors this season: "I think that's probably fair to say."

The 33-year-old could be headed towards microfracture surgery on his right knee which Girardi conceded could threaten the hurlers career.
In eight starts this season Sabathia was 3-4 with a 5.28 ERA and a 1.48 WHIP.
