Mark Mulder believes he deserves a major league contract. The 36-year-old pitcher is attempting a comeback after sitting since the 2008 season.
One team that was interested in Mulder was the San Francisco Giants. The Giants apparently lost interest when Mulder requested a major league contract.
Giants checked in on Mark Mulder but he was looking for more than they could offer, was hoping for a Major League contract.

You can not make this stuff up. Seriously. Mulder was last effective during the 2005 season. After 2005 he appeared in just 23 games for the Cardinals going 6-10 with a 7.73 ERA and a 1.83 WHIP.
Mulder saw something in the delivery of Los Angeles Dodgers relief pitcher Paco Rodriguez that he believes he could emulate. Whether or not he will get the chance remains to be seen.
